For the sake of completion I've included this picture of another family preparing to set their nets out again. Their net is half the size of the one seen in the earlier pictures. It still takes a long time to get back into the water properly. The man in the bow of the boat is in fact wearing a ski mask despite the heat. It's usually 75 degrees or so by nine o'clock. All the people I've met pulling nets on the beach have been wonderfully welcoming. They seem to appreciate my interest in their lives as much as they appreciate my willingness to help them get the nets in and fish sorted. Since school has started, I rarely see them.
